Official statement from Samsung on the problem of the fingerprint sensor of the Note 10 and S10

Yesterday we already reported about the problem with the fingerprint sensor of the Galaxy Note 10 and S10. A few hours ago Samsung has released a statement acknowledging the problem and what to do while waiting for next week's patch.

The problem arises under very special conditions, discovered by chance by a British couple. With a cheap silicone screen protector manage to unlock the phone with any fingerprint.

Samsung's statement

Samsung acknowledges in a statement two hours ago that the problem related to the ultrasonic fingerprint sensors of the unlocked devices, after recognizing patterns in 3D, appears on certain silicone cases that protect the screen. That is to say, that under that cover, you can unlock the mobile with any fingerprint.

Just like we said yesterday, if you have a quality screen protector, the one that comes by default Already from the box of either of the two phones, or even you use a plastic one or even not using one, you will not have any kind of problem.

In fact, Samsung advises only those who use cheap silicone screen protectors to remove the protector immediately, erase all the prints recorded with your phones and register them again. In other words, problem solved.

They also recommend that if a screen protector is used, for proper use, avoid using it until the device is updated with new software due next week. It would be at that moment when the fingerprints would have to be correctly recorded again; that is, even the sides of the fingertips so that a correct recording is made.

We will wait for the next release with the patch and thus clear up all the misinformation there is about it. Videos where it is demonstrated and little else that confirms how the phone is unlocked using a silicone case and even a protector.
