Samsung launches Samsung Calculator on Play Store

Over the course of the past twelve months, Samsung has paid increased attention to creating and launching Own applications available in the Google Play Store for Android devices. Some of these applications are the app to manage Gear smart watches (Gear Manager) from Android smartphones, its own Wi-Fi Transfer app, Samsung Music, a voice recorder called Samsung Voice Recorder, S Note and Samsung Email. Now, Samsung has also added to this collection basic applications something as simple as a calculator: samsung calculator.

From Sam Mobile they point out that the fundamental objective for which Samsung will be adding its own applications to the Play Store would be, precisely, make it easier for the South Korean company to update these applications thereby reducing the size of firmware updates. Since these apps will now be updated through the Google app store, Samsung will be able to focus on much more important parts of its software, without worrying about core apps that often only delay updates rather than encourage them. For example, Samsung just made its Samsung Notes app compatible with Android Nougat through the Play Store. This allows you to keep the app in the Google store while perfecting other parts of the Nougat software.

At this point, the application Samsung Calculator can only be downloaded on Android 7.0 Nougat (which started rolling out for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge a few weeks ago) or higher, so if you haven't received the new operating system yet, you won't be able to enjoy doing your addition and subtraction in the new app. But if you have the Android Nougat update, you can now enter the Google Play Store and free download Samsung's new calculator.
