Samsung launches BlackBerry Hub-style Focus app

Focus

Blackberry finally launched its Application Hub that encompasses a good number of them and allows us to have the most basic tools today on an Android smartphone. 7 apps with which to manage mail, the passwords we use on our smartphone or an app to take notes that allows us to keep everything safe so we don't forget anything.

Rumors of a new BlackBerry Hub-style app from Samsung started pouring in a few months ago. This new application is already a complete one and it is called Samsung Focus. It has been called as a unified application for productivity and allows Exchange ActiveSync, IMAP, and POP3 to better manage email, calendar, tasks, memos and contacts from one place.

Another feature of Focus is that it offers Direct Push synchronization with Exchange ActiveSync, unified search (email, events, memos, tasks and contacts), as well as the ability to add events or tasks from what would be email.

We are talking about an app that offers support to these servers: Exchange Server 2003 SP2 / SP3 and above, Google, Naver (IMAP/POP3), Office 365, Hotmail and Outlook.com as well as many other servers based on Exchange ActiveSync (IBM Notes Traveler, Groupwise, Kerio, Zimbra, Horde, IceWarp, MDaemon).

The main feature of Samsung Focus is that connects to the serverse-mail, but yes, it does not operate as a server in the cloud. Focus stores user account data, but Samsung cannot access that data.

This app is compatible with most Samsung devices that work with Android 6.0.1 or higher. The only thing that at the moment is not available in all countries, and we would be facing a regional launch of the application that will gradually reach more countries.
