Buy a high-end smartphone, requires a significant investment, an investment that many users cannot afford. Samsung's alternative to this dilemma has been to launch a similar version with lower specifications within the Galaxy range, the Galaxy S20 FE being the latest example.
However, it is not the only method that Samsung makes available to its customers in Germany, one of the most important countries for the company, since it has just launched a new smartphone rental program, a program of only includes the terminals that are part of the entire S20 range.
At the moment there are no other models available such as the Note 20 range, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 or the Galaxy Z Flip. This new method of enjoying a smartphone can be interesting for those who always want to enjoy the company's latest model without having to pay the nearly 1.000 euros it costs, in the case of the highest-end models.
This program allows rent the terminals for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, the longer the rental time, the lower the fee. The terminals and prices available in this program are:
Single payment | Monthly fee | Monthly Fee | Monthly fee | |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 month | 3 months | 6 months | 12 months | |
Galaxy S20SE | 59.90€ | 49.90€ | 39.90€ | 29.90€ |
Galaxy S20 | 99.90€ | 69.90€ | 59.90€ | 49.90€ |
Galaxy S20+ | 109.90€ | 74.90€ | 64.90€ | 54.90€ |
Galaxy s20 ultra | 119.90€ | 99.90€ | 79.90€ | 69.90€ |
All terminals correspond to 128GB model. This program is not compatible with other services from Samsung Up, Samsung Care + or Trade-In, but the company claims that it is working to find new options without offering many details.
Samsung could be using Germany to test this interesting method to always enjoy the latest Samsung model, so if this is successful, it won't take long to see how this program expands to more countries.
