By now we know most of the features and functions of the upcoming Samsung flagships, the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus, but not all of them were confirmed or leaked by reliable sources. However, today we have received the details about the prices and official colors of the new terminals, directly from the hand of Evan Blass (@evleaks).
As we are used to, Evan Blass published a photo on his Twitter account where you can see both Galaxy S8 models, the standard with a 5.8-inch screen (bottom row) and the Plus version with a 6.2-inch screen (top row) .
The highlight of the design of both models is the lack of the Samsung logo and physical buttons, in addition to their curved edges and slightly curved corners. Unlike the LG G6, whose aspect ratio is 18:9, el Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature an 18.5: 9 screen format.
Galaxy S8 and S8 + colors
The new information about the colors of the Galaxy S8 coincides with the previous leaks, except that this time we already know the official names of some of them: Black Sky (black), Orchid Gray (gray) y Arctic Silver (silver). Apart from these colors, there will also be a purple option, which you can see below.
I personally really like that Samsung has decided darken the front frames of the devices regardless of color, as this way they appear even smaller than they are and the screen takes on greater prominence.
Galaxy S8 and S8 + official prices
Shortly after publishing the photo with the colors of the flagships, Evan Blass also revealed what would be the European prices of various Samsung products, including the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy S8 Plus, the DeX dock, the new version of the Gear VR and the Gear 360 camera.
Specifically, the Galaxy S8 will cost 799 eurosWhile the S8 Plus will be priced at 899 euros. Both prices correspond to the models with 64GB memory.
By comparison, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge last year had starting prices of € 700 and € 800, respectively.
As to DeX dock, which will allow you to connect the S8 to a monitor in order to create a new desktop environment, supposedly it will cost 150 euros. The new VR Gear with remote control and technology to detect movement will go on sale with a price of $129while the camera Gear 360 would cost 229 euros.
For now we do not know if the Gear 360 is a reference to a second generation model, but considering that the price of the current generation is close to 350 euros, it is probably a simple cut.
The new Galaxy S8 and S8 + will be presented in just 10 days, next March 29, during an event called Unpacked. Even though we already know pretty much everything about them, it will be an exciting time to finally see them live.
