Samsung Galaxy S, Rom F1 Galaxy SII V8 Final Beta XXJVU

Samsung Galaxy S, Rom F1 Galaxy SII V8 Final Beta XXJVU

After a few days without sharing any rom for him Samsung Galaxy S model GT-I9000, today I have decided to share with all of you a rom based on Stock JVU, Android 2.3.6, for all those people who miss applications such as the original radio or the Samsung application store.

Also, if you are tired of the battery not lasting more than ten or twelve hours with the roms based on ICS or Jelly Bean, this is the rom you were looking for, since being based on a Original stock, the battery will last you at the levels that we were accustomed to in Gingerbread.

Main features of the rom

  •  Stock Android Base XXJVU Android 2.3.6
  • XXJVU modem
  • Multi-CSC
  • Semaphore 2.5.0 kernel
  • De-odexed
  • zip-aligned
  • Busybox pre-installed
  • Root
  • Large list of preconfigured APNs
  • init.d
  • Without 3rd grade applications
  • BLN support
  • And a lot of settings and applications of the XWLA2 rom of the Galaxy S2 directly ported for this rom

Requirements to install this rom

Samsung Galaxy S, Rom F1 Galaxy SII V8 Final Beta XXJVU

This rom must be installed on the Stock firmware XXJVU, especially if you come from a rom Jelly Bean o ICS before you will have to flash the original Firmware XXJVU.

This rom is unique and exclusive to the model GT-I9000 de Samsung, so I am not responsible for its correct operation in a different model of terminal.

As always before proceeding to install this rom, we must have the battery fully charged, as well as USB debugging activated from the system settings.

Required files

The files necessary to install this rom are limited to a single compressed file in zip of about 157 Mb, which once downloaded we will copy without decompressing in the root of the internal sdcard of the device to flash, then we will turn it off and reboot in Recovery Mode to proceed to flashing it.

Rom installation method

Remembering that we will have to start from the Stock Firmware XXJVU Android 2.3.6, and in the Recovery we will follow these instructions:

  • Wipe data factory reset
  • Wipe cache partition
  • Advanced / wipe dalvik cache
  • Go Back
  • Install zip from sdcard
  • Choose zip from sdcard
  • We select the zip of the rom and install it
  • Reboot system now

With this we will have the final F1 Galaxy SII V8 rom in our Samsung Galaxy S, with all native Google and Samsung apps, such as the original radio, the original camera and Samsung Apps.

Me, one thing that I miss and I do not know if it is from when I root the mobile or with the 4.x versions, it is the Wi-Fi connection, it is not fine to say, I have a connection but if I try to open / enter something almost always I It fails, so I disconnect and connect and then it works, if I let a few minutes pass without doing anything, it gives me connection failure again. I have changed the modem several times and it remains the same.

Maybe it will encourage me and I will install this to see what happens, the only thing is the disorder of configuring everything.

I await your assessment because I was also thinking of changing my ICS «Team Nyx» (which is great for me by the way) for another ROM that would give me good results and offer me new experiences to try. You will tell us.
        Regards!!!

It put me in "temporarily disables the connection" but it is removed in the settings. Is that what happens to you?

        I can't find that option.

I want to install it tomorrow, if the girl leaves me and I spend a while on the mobile, have that.

Do you know if this version allows photos and videos to be recorded on the external memory card? and the video in hd quality? because that is the only thing I miss from the higher versions of android, I have returned to ginger just for that, I use a lot of the camera and videos in hd, and I still have not found a cooked version superior to ginger that does it, I am still on your search… ..

    1.    Francisco Ruiz said

Yes that does it all, but remember this is a cooked ginger

After installing the ROM «F1 SGSII V8 with TV» in my Galaxy S i9000 and now it does not have a correct touch response.
    Any idea?
Do you recommend any other ROM?

Could I switch to another ROM from this one or would I have to do something else?

    Thank you!!

Fixed, I changed it to "F1 SGSII v8 beta 2" and it was fixed.
Anyway, I don't really like this Rom. Sometimes it hangs and what I like the least is that I went to use some programs to put my phone as a router and it told me that it cannot be with my kernel version.
    Any ideas??
