Just before December rolls around, the South Korean firm's 2018 flagships, which are the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 9, are receiving a new software update that adds the respective security patch for that month.
The November security patch for these devices also began to be distributed at the end of October, so we see significant attention from the company towards its users, which is not very rare since we are talking about top terminals, but it is remarkable.
As things currently stand, Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus users in roughly 25 European markets should be able to get the new 'N97 * FXXS1ASKB OTA' package via the phone's update menu.
As for the Galaxy Note 9, as far as we can tell, currently only users in Germany have been treated with the respective 'N960FXXS4CSK2' software build, which brings the same Android security patches for December.
For the most impatient among you, the website of Sammobile has a full firmware file where such packages can be downloaded and flash manually as well. However, there is probably no real need to rush, as Samsung is clearly ahead of the game on this one. Also, the OTA package only contains Google's December security patches. No other feature is part of Samsung, apparently.
The usual: we recommend having the phone connected to a stable and high-speed Wi-Fi network to download and then install the new firmware package, in order to avoid unwanted consumption of the provider's data package. It is also vitally important to have a good battery level to avoid any possible inconvenience during the installation process.
