Without prior announcement and in the most silent way possible, Samsung has added a new device to the list it offers on its Korean website. Its about Samsung Chromebook Pro, a hybrid that tries to combine the best of a tablet with the best of a laptop.
This new product will allow users to run the Android applications available on the Google Play Store, as the search giant announced some time ago, on a 12,3-inch touch screen and 2K resolution.
Samsung's Chromebook Pro, quite an interesting device
Ever since Google revealed that Android apps available in the Play Store could be installed on Chromebooks, many users have been waiting impatiently. And this will already be possible with the new Samsung Chromebook Pro that the South Korean company will launch very soon.
Samsung published a promotional web page for this new Chromebook Pro that, although it was later eliminated, has allowed us to discover the characteristics, functions and technical specifications of this new and somewhat curious bet.
Samsung's Chromebook Pro is a hybrid device halfway between the laptop and the tablet that, we suppose, will combine the best of both types of equipment.
Count with one Rockchip six-core processor of which, two cores are Cortex-A72 and the other four cores are Cortex-A53, and it is completed with 4 GB of RAM.
As for the screen, it is quite generous thanks to its 12,3 inches and a 2K resolution (2400 x 1600), also highlighting a 360 ° hinge so that the device can be used both as a tablet and as a computer.
At first glance, it offers a very attractive and neat design. It seems to be made of aluminum with a thickness of only 13,9 millimeters and a weight of only 1,08 kilos.
It also has two USB Type C ports, a headphone jack, a SD card slot and a capacity of 32GB internal storage.
As for the battery, a full charge provides up to 10 hours of autonomy.
But without a doubt the biggest novelty of the Samsung Chromebook Pro is the inclusion of a digital pen or stylus which is saved in a similar way to the Galaxy Note. With it, you can write and draw on the screen. It's something that no Chromebook has offered so far.
The availability date of the Samsung Chromebook Pro is known but as the guys from SamMobile could observe, its price will be in the 499$.
