Project Valley; Samsung works on a foldable device

Despite the barrage of news that Google I / O 2015 has brought us, the latest edition of the popular developer conference held every year by the Mountain View team, major manufacturers continue to work on their new projects. AND Samsung was not going to be less.

And it is that according to reports from SamMobile, the Korean manufacturer has a very interesting new project in hand; under the name of Project Valley or Project V, Samsung could be working on a new device with two folding screens.

Project Valley intends to use a smartphone with two folding screens

We already knew that the guys at Samsung had the technology ready to use folding screens but that today they had not found the appropriate method to manufacture this type of panels on a large scale so that the costs did not skyrocket.

We don't know if they have found the solution to this problem, but their new Project Valley looks really good. The idea is based on using a smartphone with two screens that would come together offering a design very similar to that of a book, or a clamshell phone. Or a Nintendo DS console?

The possibilities of this project are very interesting since could be used to read a book or unfold a map. Although we already know that such secret projects can end up being little more than an interesting prototype to present at an international fair to demonstrate the company's muscle. Or compete with LG in the war for folding screens.

Anyway, we will have to wait and see what Samsung surprises us with because it is not the first time that we have heard rumors about the possibility that Seoul-based manufacturer to show dual-screen foldable device and you already know that when the river sounds, it carries water.

To me personally the possibility of having a device of, for example, eight inches in the space of a 5-inch terminal I find it very interesting. Also, although the photos accompanying this article do not belong to the Project Valley device, yes they are a real patent that Samsung presented at the time , so this phone with a double folding screen could well exist.

And to you, what do you think of Samsung's Project Valley? Do you think that a device of this type would be successful in the market or is it really not necessary?
