Presentation of the new Xperia Mini and Xperia Mini-Pro

Sony-Ericsson has presented what will be Successors to the Xperia family models, the Mini and Mini-Pro. Models that are characterized by their small size and simple pressures that give them access to a wide audience, in a version with or without a physical keyboard.

Many of the specifications of the terminal are transcended through the company's press release, which would be the following:

  • Infinity of combinable colors with the front black and white, dark pink and blue for the rear of the Mini. Front black along with white and turquoise for the Mini-Pro.
  • Operating System Android Gingerbread for the two moved with a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • Screen with an «anti-marking» finish 3 inches with Mobile BRAVIA® Engine technology and a 320 x 480 px resolution.
  • Conference proceedings 320MB ROM, expandable by card microSD that incorporates 2gb (or if you want more ...) and memory 510MB RAM
  • Weights 94 grams the Mini and 136 grams the Mini-Pro.
  • Regarding the size 88-52-16mm for Mini. 92- 53-18mm for the Mini-Pro.
  • They will incorporate both 5 MPX rear camera with LED flash, with autofocus and 720p HD recording. They will also bring the so fashionable front camera VGA for video calls
  • FM radio
  • Includes GPS connectivity, Bluetooth, DLNA wireless technology, Wifi,
  • 1200 mAh battery

With these two terminals Sony-Ericsson updates part of the Xperia family, specifically the smaller ones. As we see in its specifications, these are two terminals with very limited hardware and that are clearly focused on those who want a phone to "call and send messages" (and end with twitter, facebook and everything on the mobile). Surely its price is in accordance with its benefits even if they have a 1GHz Snapdragon which is excessive in my opinion considering the little RAM that the phone has.

I do not agree that it has a lot of processor for so little ram ...
I think 510mb give a lot of if, with Desire I am well served and I think there are not so many terminals with more than that amount IN THE SPANISH MARKET.

It seems that in addition to being fanboys of everything that android carries and enemies of the rest, you are also based on "big donkey, walk or not."

The great thing about the operating system cradled by google is the diversity of terminals, for all tastes and above all, pockets. Let us remember that although they can be purchased free, most of them acquire them through subsidies by contract with some operator, and we already know that these subsidies are subject to: higher monthly payments, higher minimum consumption and / or longer residence times.

Greetings, and congratulations on the blog, I am subscribed from Pulse news, which I think I got to know thanks to you, I would only ask you for a little more informative impartiality. (Unless that is your strong point, but I think that subjectivity should not be so between the lines within the same news, that it could be separated, as with paragraphs for example)

Your Snapdragon is not the same as this one. I have in front of me a Desire and the Desire S (which is in the other article) and being at 1GHz and with the same version of sense and Android they do not work or similar, and that the kernel and others of the desire is optimized and the S comes bareback from HTC.
With that processor, a very small screen, low resolution, no sense ... 1GHz seems like a lot of processor. Due to hardware limitations, you will not be able to take advantage of many of the apps that would use 100% of the processor (HD games from Gameloft ...) If you look at programs like setcpu, most of the time the processor does not even reach half of the 998mhz speed. Your desire in its day came with sense and others, and that is why the S comes with more ram, because for 1ghz 576mb they fell short, despite the optimization of tasks and ram that comes from version 2.1 of android.
After all, I expressed my opinion in the article, and you in the comment, and neither of us are going to jail. I do not usually put many comments within the article, especially I leave them for the last paragraph (as I have done in this one).

Wowow, I didn't understand. I am from Mexico (tijuana) and I have had an xperia x 10 pro mini since February of this year (and it had been on the market for more than 2 months); How is it that you announce in your post the Launch of this cell phone?

Could you explain to me?, Since I live in a struggle where the update I have is up to android 2.1 and I don't know if another will come out or it will stay there):

I think you have misunderstood Cesxr but he is announcing the evolution of the Xperia mini pro (the one you own) I understand that you have been wrong because there is no difference between the name of these models with which you have but he refers to these They are the new models but just search in san google xD so that you understand me or look at the image of the post and you will see that it is not the same.

the difference is that the one you have is called xperia mini x10 pro and this is called xperia mini pro (the same for those who are not pro, only the «x10 is removed) and the x10 has 600mhz and the other 1ghz also to have a front camera (although it is not clear to me, I understood that only the minipro had this option but according to the article it seems that both will bring the front camera)

Thanks for the clarification. From what I see, it has only modified the software and that of the front camera. So I ask again (you have to know more about the subject): With this there is less probability that the Xperia x 10 mini pro update to 2.2 even if it is? There is even some news if there will be an update or it will be stuck there for life?! (It would be sad for me to know that you won't update more)

Well, cesxr, I am a fan of this series of cell phones, I like them a lot and I always go for more and stay ahead of those who make these smartphones, and well I have an xperia x10mini, and in the same way I would like to know about your software update , and I read in some blogs that apparently there will be no more updates to our series, that is the bad thing, and that also in the apps, they are limited by the internal memory of the xperia which is 200MG, you cannot move them to memory external (sd), but without change with future software (from 2.2 onwards) if you can move your apps to the sd card and in this way you can run hundreds of applications, and not limited ones. I hope this inf has served.
(my xperia x10mini I have it since December 2010 and only got the 2.1 eclair update)

Well, I find it fascinating, also that they are mobile phones that you can walk in your pocket without being seen, which attracts many criminals in perfect size, the android version too, and I read that these smartphones had an incredible Facebook experience, you can comment on a photo without having to go to facebook good fascinating it seems to me
