Your Snapdragon is not the same as this one. I have in front of me a Desire and the Desire S (which is in the other article) and being at 1GHz and with the same version of sense and Android they do not work or similar, and that the kernel and others of the desire is optimized and the S comes bareback from HTC.
With that processor, a very small screen, low resolution, no sense ... 1GHz seems like a lot of processor.
