We know that we have not been wrong, and although there is no official statement of the reasons for eliminating Popcorn Time, we can imagine them.

Popcorn Time is a project known for being open source, and previously having tried to develop the platform as Pochoclin, who left his functions due to the threats of the large distributors and the demands that could fall on him. When that idea was abandoned, we started with the same code to develop those that are currently available for all desktop operating systems. But the arrival on Android was a great surprise, and above all, a great achievement for the most fans. However, it could not be.

The joy in the Google Play little lasts

Although we do not know the exact time published the application on Google Play, the information in the traditional media, news agencies and technology media that first released the information was on May 8 in the afternoon, so we found that less than 24 hours was available. After that, the total emptiness, because Google Play has not explained anything, and the developers of the Popcorn Time project for Android, unless we are aware of it either.

Beware of non-functional clones

Although they are not new, and we could even say that they took advantage of the success of the Popcorn Time app in its desktop version to pretend to be a fake Android version, just now that Popcorn Time for official Android disappeared without a trace, it is more than likely that more than one of them will end up falling into these traps. The truth is that from the evaluations themselves you can already imagine what is in them, and it is nothing more than a non-functional download.
