Last night at the presentation Unpacked that took place at Earls Court in London, Samsung not only presented top-notch hardware, but also introduced interesting new features in its TouchWiz software. One of the striking and visual is the Pop up Play, by virtue of which we can view a video on top of the application we want to use, as a small window. Without a doubt, it will mark a before and after in the multitasking of Android, and this will be only the beginning of the way; that is why we stop at it.
Many readers of our blog will wonder what we want for quad core on a mobile. Pop-up Play is a good reason, since surely will make intensive use of the smartphone cores, which will scale their frequencies to the 1,4 GHz. without delay, to respond to our demands.
If you are viewing a video and you need to check something on the web or in your email inbox, send an SMS or open any other program, you just have to touch the button dedicated to this feature on the screen; the video will be minimized to a thumbnail size, that you can place where it least bothers you to use the program you want to use next. The video, even in miniature, will still maintain a good display quality thanks to the 1280 × 720 screen and its pixel density of 306 per inch. Of course, you can return the video to full screen at any time.
Able to see two programs running simultaneously elevates Android multitasking to a level close to PC. From Androidsis We think that this is the path that not only Samsung should follow, but also Google, which still needs to improve multitasking in its operating system, to make it more real, so that the programs that remain in the background continue to run as if they were in the background. close-up, without interruptions of any kind, even with the screen off.
We trust that the Pop-up Play philosophy be expanded to all programs and do not be limited only to videos; Maybe on Android 5.0? Cross our fingers!

I do not know if you have seen the multitasking option in Metro (rather bi-task), allowing you to see two applications at the same time on the same screen. Maybe the shots should go that way. I don't know if this mini-view contributes much, except for the videos and just in case someone wants to do two things at the same time, which I don't see as very likely. We will have to see it in action, but at first I don't see much use for it.
Maybe it is not exciting how useful this can be, but it is a great start to multitasking on cell phones 😀
How much public exposure chair did Esteban Trabajo give? But…. some do not approve even with 4
This should be put natively on Android to crush the competition. Android is the most advanced OS for mobiles today, but it is the only one that can improve the most and scale to the PC.
