Google's new Pigeon app is approaching, showing traffic information in real time

Pigeon

Pigeon by Google is an app that shows traffic information in real time. In 2018 it was launched in New York, but just a few hours ago the project has advanced enough to be available in five new cities such as Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington.

An app that has arisen from a Google laboratory project and that in its day was born from the problems of delay in transport times that the citizens of a city like New York have to endure. And the funny thing, at least there, is that the app is on iOS and at the moment you can only register one on the waiting list for Android.

But what we can guess is that it will not take long to arrive in these parts By expanding to five cities, an app called Pigeon can be very useful for those who live in a big city.

If there is something that differentiates Pigeon from other apps, such as Google Maps or Waze (both tell us when there is heavy traffic on the roads), it is that we cans access information in real time traffic, incidents and other data that are going to come in handy; as well as for third-party companies that will be able to use those moments of congestion (we are not going to give ideas, but there are).

Pigeon

Pigeon is capable of sending you alerts for those times when you need to know that there is a power outage. We even talk about personalized notifications that arrive a while before leaving from home to work and that may mean delays. The same thing already happens with Google Maps, but here we see a map with the streets congested by color.

But not only does it stay there, but has a reports tab to alert of delays and those problems that happen on the road and that we know from many other apps like Google Maps, and which already includes it.

Hopefully it won't take long and we can have an app called Pigeon from Google and that looks more than interesting.
