Oppo is scheduled to present the first smartphone in its new Reno lineup on April 10. Meanwhile, the Chinese company is completing the final steps necessary for the phones of the new series to reach the market. One of them is China's 3C certification which decrees the products as suitable for end consumers.
Today, two Oppo phones from the new Reno series received the official CCC certification with model numbers 'PCAM000' and 'PCAT00'.
These two models are expected to equip the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. It is one of the best mid-range SoCs from the San Diego giant and is an octa-core chipset that runs at a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz, combined with an Adreno 516 GPU. Both certified variants come with a 48 MP main sensor for the main camera setup at the rear. The 3C certifier revealed that the two certified phones come with 20W (5V / 4A) fast charging technology that is not Super VOOC, as this technology comes with higher power.
According to reports, Oppo Reno's lineup will consist of at least six variants. Among these models, there will be a Lamborghini Edition, as well as a 5G Edition with support for 5G connectivity. Unlike the 3C certified models, these two variants will come with flagship-class specs. They are expected to feature the Snapdragon 855 chipset (which will be paired with the Snapdragon X50 5G modem in the 5G edition), up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage.
The rear camera of these high-end cameras should come with the new 10X lossless zoom technology. Last but not least, these devices can sport a dynamic AMOLED display with HDR10+.
