Innovation in smartphones is currently at its peak, very normal seeing the variety of companies working on new terminals. Many companies right now they are registering new patents to use about the next phones and it is the case of an important brand within Asia such as Oppo.

Oppo is working on a pop-up camera, but it does not aim to open up, it shows the opening to one side and becomes an alternative. The registration was in the database of CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) and will see the light soon.

The sketch reveal the module just to the right side, being well saved once the user decides to close it either manually or through launch. Through the images, two cameras can be seen below the one that comes out and would point to two fixed cameras along with a movable one.

Despite being a reference image, the manufacturer wants to launch a phone model similar to the Xiaomi Mi 9T, this one adds a pop-up camera. One of the points to improve is the level of resistance to openings or a possible fall by accident.

The image also shows the power button on the right side, and on the left are the volume controls and the SIM slot. At the bottom it adds a speaker, a type C connector and a 3,5 mm headphone jack - discarded by some -.

An alternative patent

Not all patents see the final light, many are registered due to wanting to go testing them in laboratories and Oppo is prone to it. Perhaps in the future we will see phones with cameras of this type and manufacturers want alternatives to fixed cameras that range from 3, 4 and even 5 lenses.
