After launching the Oppo Find X2 Pro together with the Find X2, Oppo did not hesitate to give it to DxOMark to evaluate its camera as one of the best.
Together with Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, this device has taken first place in the ranking of smartphones with the best cameras on the platform.

With an overall camera score of 124, The new Oppo Find X2 Pro matches the current top device in the DxOMark ranking, which is the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. Both devices also share the same Photo and Video secondary scores, which are 134 and 104, respectively, but have slightly different sets of strengths and weaknesses.
While the Mi 10 Pro excels in a few key categories, such as texture processing and zoom, it also has some slightly weaker areas. In contrast, the Find X2 Pro offers a more balanced performance, with results close to the best that the DxOMark team has seen in almost every subcategory of photos and videos.
Oppo's phone's autofocus system is surprisingly good, so much so that it worked quickly and reliably in all camera and video conditions. Video exposure was another area of excellence for the Find X2 Pro as it offered good lens exposures at fairly low light levels.
The Oppo Find X2 Pro's camera exposure system offers very good lens exposures in all light levels, even in very low light situations. The dynamic range is wide too, allowing the camera to efficiently deal with challenging high-contrast scenes.

Color is another strength of the camera, with images showing good color reproduction, good saturation and accurate white balance in bright outdoor conditions, as well as in typical indoor shooting situations.
The high-end camera strikes a good balance between detail retention and noise management in all light conditions. Overall texture holds up well in low light, but declines noticeably in moving scenes. What's more, noise is generally well controlled in Find X2 Pro images and is hardly noticeable in bright outdoor conditions. In indoor scenes, you may see some luminance noise in shadow areas.
Overall image quality when shooting at ultra wide angle is very good, with good lens exposure, accurate white balance, and well-controlled distortion throughout the frame.
Bokeh mode of the Oppo Find X2 Pro | DxOMark
The Oppo Find X2 Pro also has a good score for its bokeh mode, which creates very good background isolation for portraits and few depth estimation artifacts, even on complex image elements such as hair. Additionally, the bokeh images display good color and dynamic range, making the mode usable in more challenging lighting conditions.
The mobile offers one of the best performances for the Night category that have been seen so far. Flash performance is excellent too, with good white balance, low noise and good details when shooting in total darkness. But under low tungsten light, a strong orange cast is visible in the results.
With 104 points, the Oppo Find X2 Pro matches the current highest score for video measurements, thanks to excellent test results in all categories, but its efficient image stabilization and HDR rendering are highlights. The latter ensures a wide dynamic range and minimizes clipping of highlights and shadows in difficult high-contrast scenes.
Images from the phone's 4K video mode also show pleasant colors and accurate white balance in outdoor conditions, and low noise levels. Also, as with the still image mode, the autofocus works well and reacts quickly to changes in the scene. On the downside of this section, some exposure instabilities were noted in HDR scenes. These are often seen as a kind of flickering effect in the sky, as in the sample below.
