Although the Chinese company provides its devices with frequent periodic updates to correct the defects that these may present, among other things, a drawback that has now begun to affect users of the OnePlus 7T y 7T Pro has to do with adaptive brightness, which does not work well and accurately in many cases.
Users have a problem with the automatic brightness functions of the device. Keeps the screen in low brightness mode even in direct sunlight. The problem is forcing users to disable the feature and go back to manual mode to adjust the screen brightness.

A user complained about the problem in the OnePlus community forum saying: “I am not sure if I am the only one because the adaptive brightness of my new OnePlus 7T Pro is absolutely abysmal. It turns black when it shouldn't and clearly doesn't work the way it should. I turned it off and kept the brightness to my liking, but am I really unhappy with the way this was implemented on this phone or is it just my device that has this problem? "
Another user feels they have to adjust the brightness more frequently while using the adaptive brightness mode instead of the manual mode. Here is the story in his own words: «I have exactly the same problem in 7T. Very unpredictable behavior of adaptive brightness. Unfortunately, I had to disable it as well, as I found that keeping the brightness at around 30% means I have to adjust it fewer times than when I have it on automatic. Carefully, this will work itself out at some point.
This problem can be easily fixed with a small update. However, the company has not yet commented on the matter. While a fix comes up, please let us know if you are a OnePlus 7T user and if you notice any misbehavior of the adaptive brightness on it.
