New version of Android keyboard on Google Play flavored with Android 4.4 KitKat

One of the great advantages of having Google applications on Google Play that were previously fully integrated into the Android system is being able to update them without the need to wait for the manufacturer of our smartphone decides to update to the latest version of Android, which usually takes time.

The Android keyboard was brought to Google Play early last summer, and today it just received a new update with a flavor to Android 4.4 KitKat. Something that will benefit all those who have to wait a bit for the latest version of Android to arrive and to be able to check for themselves some feature of the keyboard that Nexus 5 owners already use.

In this new version, the disappearance of the blue color in the design stands out, with the appearance of the gray color at the same time as that seen in Android 4.4 KitKat. We will also have another new feature that is the power to type through gestures, which will allow you to write more words at once in a faster and more agile way.

Through being able to write by means of gestures we will be able to type entire sentences such as "writing with the Android keyboard is easy" and without the need to lift your finger at any time, since when passing it through the space key, it will directly count it as a word.

What's weird is that the keyboard is different on the phone and on the tablet, while the Nexus 5 shows the ability to hold down a key for apostrophes, in the Nexus 7 2013 update you don't have this option. Like the keyboard layout it is slightly different between the two types of devices.

We will have to wait then, for another new version to appear so that it unifies functionality and design for the tablet and phone.
