My personal impressions of the Freedompop service after almost a month of use

Today I bring you a somewhat different personal opinion post, and that is I have tried the Freedompop service, and after almost a month of use these are my personal impressions on the use of the service of this new virtual company that since August 2016 offers its services in Spanish territory with very adjusted rates and having the honor of being one of the few companies that gives us or offers a totally free rate for connect to the Internet, 100 minutes to make voice calls over IP and up to 300 SMS messages.

I have decided to make a video to tell my personal impressions with this Freedompop service, testing for almost 15 days the 2 Gb service for unlimited calls and messages that they offered me completely free of charge and as a trial for 30 days. After these 15 days or so in which the service was really good, I canceled the premium services and this welcome gift in which they offered me the free trial of the 2Gb of Internet plus the aforementioned unlimited calls and messages, to see first-hand what the basic service is like 50, that totally free and with which they offer us 200 Mb of Internet, 100 minutes in calls and 300 SMS. Is it true that we can enjoy the Internet and voice calls and SMS messages completely free of charge without cheating or cardboard?What's more, will I be able to survive with my smartphone with only 200 Mb of data?

In the video that I have left you just above these lines, I explain my impressions with the Freedompop service in this almost month of intensive use, as well as I show you that, since I deactivated the premium services and the 2 Gb Internet rate, those services for which in just 15 days they were going to charge me almost 12 euros, (almost 9 euros for the 2Gb internet rate plus almost 3 euros for the Premium data usage notice and voicemail services)Since then I have not been able to connect to the mobile data network, much less make any voice calls or send SMS messages unless I was connected to a Wi-Fi network. Is this bad service from Freedompop a mere coincidence since it cancels the Premium services and the 2 Gb rate?

At first this bad service that Freedompop is offering is a widespread thing for all users of the company that offers and promises a free internet rate and calls. This is clear to me because they have even sent me an email asking for forgiveness for the problems they are having with the connections of companies such as telephone, and they even give us the solution to follow through entering the settings of our Android and in Mobile Networks force connection to Yoigo services, in this case without informing us that, in many cases, in order to register in Yoigo's telephone services we will have to search for them by the name of Xfera mobiles Spain.

Well, Not even doing these steps have I been able to connect to any of the services that I have contracted with FreedompopFurthermore, no matter how much you choose any of the available networks, in this case Xfera Móvil Spain or France Telecom Spain, Yoigo or Orange, it is not even able to connect to the aforementioned services available to function properly. This for almost two weeks now !!

In short, this is all that I explain to you in the video that I have left you right at the beginning of this post, a video in which I show you the impossibility to register in Yoigo just as Freedompop had recommended me, a video in which I show you how I don't have mobile data Internet on the street and even how voice calls connected to a Wi-Fi network fail more than a fairground shotgun.

I bought a sim as soon as the company's services began in Spain in the summer of last year and I use it together with the mobile phone that was used for 7 euros. The service has been improving over time, especially the issue of calls, it is true that when there is little coverage, it is not possible to call, but with two lines of 3g coverage I have been able to call. The voip service they offer is much better than hazteunsimpa or other apps (such as libon, tuentimovil, etc) that I have tried. Once I have established the call, it can be heard well and the other person also hears me well (if the other person hears echo, calibrate it from settings, audio, activate the option to reduce echo and give it to calibrate, I also recommend deactivating all codecs minus the "opus" so that the calls go better). Lately it is true that the data has gone wrong, but in my case I only had to manually connect to the movistar network and everything has been solved. I already do receive sms, which I did not receive correctly before (although I have not tested it exhaustively as I do not use this type of messaging much). Anyway, I have to say that if the app calls fail, whatsapp has been my solution, the whatsapp calls (and the app) go well using the data. And that's it, my experience has been satisfactory so far and any problems have been solved by calling the customer service phone number and by twitter.
