Motorola will launch an Android tablet with productivity mode

Motorola

It is already known that Motorola is working on the new smartphones Moto Z2, but it seems that these will not be the only devices that the company currently prepares. According to a report by Android Police, the company intends to launch a tablet that will feature a “productivity mode".

Motorola's new tablet productivity mode would allow users to pin apps to navigation bar, thus facilitating the passage from one application to another. In this way, users would not have to access the multitasking menu and could navigate more easily through the different apps.

To close a certain application, users would simply have to press and drag the icon of that app upwards. Applications that are not closed will continue to run in the background, taking up some memory. A visual feature of Motorola's Productivity Mode is that it moves all navigation buttons on one side of the screen so that users could more easily access them.

In addition, the application drawer (App Drawer) would have a dedicated button on the navigation bar. Finally, Productivity Mode would be enabled by default and users could disable it if they wanted.

This Productivity Mode was also available on the Lenovo Yoga Book that arrived last year.

Motorola's new tablet will have a premium look

Unfortunately, there are not too many details about the internals of the new Motorola tablet, but it is known that it would have a size between 9 and 10 inches and it would have a premium design. Some versions of the tablet would also have mobile data support

The last Motorola tablet was launched in 2011, and since then the company stayed away from this market. In fact, the market for tablets has shrunk so much in recent years that there are currently only a few companies that sell these devices, such as Samsung or Huawei.

A recent study revealed that, at the beginning of 2017, the tablet market registered its XNUMXth consecutive quarter of year-on-year declines. But with the right specs and features of the Lenovo Yoga Book, Motorola's new tablet could sell well.
