The trend of bezel-less mobile phones has already been adopted by almost all brands and to this chapter we could also add a new aspect ratio, the 18:9 screen format.
However, things will not stop here, as the big smartphone manufacturers do everything possible to completely eliminate the frames of the mobiles, although until now they have not been able to completely give up two of them.
Currently there are mobile phones without frames on three of their sides, but the most perfectionists are eager to buy a terminal that only shows the screen without any additional frame or strip at the bottom or top.
The only problem that arises when trying to forgo all four frameworks is that companies must find a place to place the speaker and the camera, but also several sensors, such as lighting or proximity. For now, we have already seen the technique used by Apple in the iPhone X and the truth is that not everyone liked it.
One of the ideas that could be successful is the creation of mobile with sliding screens. Although it sounds strange, it is a feasible solution, and the part that is exposed after moving the screen could contain all the necessary sensors, but also the secondary photo camera.

In the clip above we have a prototype mobile phone with a sliding front cover and a screen that occupies practically the entire front of the terminal. It still has some edges, but with a few technological efforts these could be eliminated entirely, probably by adopting curved screens.
If this type of smartphone is to become a reality, it will probably be thicker than normal, although this does not have to be a problem. In fact, current mobiles have a very fragile nature precisely because they are so thin and thin, in addition to the fact that this prevents manufacturers from incorporating higher capacity batteries.
The return of thicker phones could be an important step towards greater autonomy for our phones.
