WhatsApp has become a very fundamental application for years to be in contact with those who matter to us. There are many messages that reach us on our mobile device at the end of the day, many of them in our working hours and others in our family environment.
In the latest version of WhatsApp tests, you can already test the power to block chats with your fingerprint, this will be one of the next novelties that will come to the tool. For this, it is vital to enter the testing program, it is necessary to be able to download the app from the Play Store.
How to block WhatsApp chats with your fingerprint
This option is interesting once it arrives, if you want to try it before anyone else you can do it, remember that you can install the beta version and use it together with the stable one. In our case we already had it installed to test the different added functions that they implement before the stable version.
The steps are as follows:
- Sign up for the WhatsApp test version this link
- Once downloaded and installed, we will have it on our desktop available
- Open the application as normal from the home of your phone (WhatsApp Beta)
- Click on the three dots in the upper right
- Inside, click Settings> Account
- Once inside Account click on "Privacy" and within here go down completely until you find the option "Lock with fingerprint", you have to activate it to start working
- Once activated, it will ask us for our fingerprint to confirm that it is the same that you put on your phone (if you did not put it you have to register it)
- Now WhatsApp will ask us to block it automatically in the different options: "Immediately", "After 1 minute" or "After 30 minutes"
The first two are the ones that best suit the user, especially for blocking it quickly, while the last one will leave about 30 minutes without automatic blocking. Remember that the beta version works correctly like the stable one and in our case we noticed extra options on the version installed in all the phones of the millions of users.
