On paper this LG Q60 does not lack anything, But where we first start to doubt is the performance of its three cameras, nothing more and nothing less, taking into account that two of them are only 5 and 2 megapixels respectively, what does this mean? Meanwhile, we give some confidence to that Helio 22 from MediaTek accompanied by only 3 GB of RAM, we do not spoil you.

Design and materials: More visual than a sensation

We found a terminal that is visually attractive, we analyzed a metallic blue version although it is also sold in white. As soon as we pick it up we realize that it weighs «too» little for what it claims to offer, that's when we see that we have a painted plastic frame, as well as a back made of the same material. They shine well and look great, but we already know the strength and durability of these materials. Be that as it may, we have three buttons on the left side, two of them dedicated to volume and the third to Google Assistant, while the right side is only for the power button. At the bottom we have a powerful speaker accompanied by the 3,5mm Jack inputs and the surprising microUSB (you read that correctly).

  • Size: 77 mm x 161 mm x 8.7 mm
  • Weight: 155 grams

On the front we have a fairly pronounced bottom frame and a drop-type notch in the upper part that does not stand out between the side frames. For the rear a glossy plastic that is an authentic magnet for footprints (Now we understand the gift cloth), the three cameras that barely stand out together with the fingerprint sensor predominate.

Cameras: More quantity is not better ...

We have three cameras, sensors 16 MP f / 2.2 + 5 MP + 2 MP Wide Angle - FHD recording without any identified manufacturer, the result of the standard camera with "standard" photography defends itself in bright conditions, things change when we want to use the Wide Angle add-ons or the light condition drops, the result does not even correspond to the mid-range, in fact it offers the worst result we have been able to test in its price range by far, clearly surpassed by terminals that cost between 50 and 100 euros less like Xiaomi's Redmi Note 7.

On the other hand, the 13 MP front camera is quite good considering the whole, it takes good pictures even in portrait mode, something we can't say about the rear camera, and we honestly don't know what went through LG's head to do this odd one with the cameras.

Autonomy and performance: The fingerprint sensor

The autonomy pays for its 3.500 mAh, although taking into account the thickness we are surprised that they have not included more battery. So we have a use that arrives without problems at the end of the day if we do not demand too much, taking into account the resolution of the screen it could have improved a lot.

The overall performance of the device is rather low, It would correspond to the performance of a low-end terminal and we clearly discard the use of demanding video games such as PUBG, in the video that accompanies the analysis we find constant FPS drops that produce despair. The fingerprint reader deserves a separate mention, it is excessively slow and does not correspond to that of a 2019 terminal, you almost lose the desire to use it.

Multimedia and user experience

We found a panel of almost 6,3 inches, an IPS LCD that offers a classic range of settings, perhaps too off-white at times. It is little used for its screen ratio and the result combining its HD + resolution it is clearly unsatisfactory, enough to consume video but with a resolution that neither favors the performance of the system nor makes it pleasant to watch movies on it, the reproduction of blacks is quite low.

For its part, the sound is of quite a quality, powerful and clear in almost all situations. The user experience is not fully satisfactory considering the investment of almost 250 euros that LG asks us for this terminal.

Editor's opinion

Honestly, we are facing a terminal that costs me horrors to recommend, I can not find any point where it exceeds quality-price to the rest of terminals of the same price range, the camera does not stand out, the screen is of medium quality and the general performance of the same makes it look stale. Be that as it may, it costs 240 (Amazon link) and I am not able to position it as a good purchase option.
