When one thinks of the advertising of multinational companies, it is taken for granted that they have a team of professionals capable of doing wonders with any product that the company puts up for sale. Well it seems that this is not always the case, and there are times when they screw up to the bottom, and this is what has happened to LG, one of the giants of electronics. And they have been the center of a great controversy for several days after the publication of one of their latest devices, the V60 ThinQ 5G.
Apparently the marketing team at the Polish branch came up with the wonderful idea of publishing a video to promote the product on TikTok. In this one, you could see how an older man takes photos of a woman's skirt while climbing some stairs. This realizes, and indignant, confronts and demands to check the phone. The man claims to be taking selfies, she checks it and when she sees several photos of him, she apologizes, finally, he gets away with it and it is discovered that she was right. In short, it is the perfect mobile phone for every pervert who wants to take inappropriate photos out there.
Oof, LG Poland ...
This probably isn't how you want to market your product.
Some press is bad press.

This is LG's campaign to promote the LG V60 ThinQ that has revolutionized networks
Of course, this video quickly went viral, getting millions of visits, yes, not thanks to its good content. Millions of users have complained about the clear sexist cut of this video. But, it seems that the person responsible for this video may be another user of the social network, alien to LG, which usually recreates situations in which an older man gets into trouble. Similarly, the LG Poland Marketing team gave its approval to the video.
From LG Poland they have publicly apologized, and of course, they have done it through TikTok, having removed the video of Discord. They claim that it had not been properly reviewed by the company's Marketing team. "We apologize for any offense this video may have caused. The content of the video does not match LG's values or its communication policy. It was also not approved or accepted by the marketing team in Poland, so it has been removed from our channel. We will work so that this type of occurrence does not happen again in the future”. It will be enough? Clearly not.
