App Inventor, create your own Android applications without knowing how to program

Google once again surprises us and at the same time rejoices us by launching a new suite for people who have no idea of programming but at the same time want to make their first steps in the world of Android development, App Inventor for Android allows us this.

From now on we have available Inventor App, a tool compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems and that once installed and through a fully graphical interface we can create our first applications to install on our Android terminal and all this without knowing anything about Java, XML, C ++ or any other language to use.

With some existing panels with all the available options and by selecting and dragging we will be able to create our applications and immediately install them in our Android terminal.

With this way of creating applications we can even have access to the accelerometer and use it as part of our application. It is too early to know with certainty to what degree of complexity can be reached developing applications with this method, I do not think it is really much, but it will undoubtedly make more than one bite the bug and create its own utilities.

The official page is this where you can download Inventor App. Does anyone sign up to develop?

It is not an application that you install, you install some extras to use it but the work is via the web. In principle, it is today Monday when it opens for everyone, but in the USA it is still night in California. It may take a few more days but there should be no restrictions for anyone. All the best

Ok, thanks for the clarification, antocara. We will have to go looking. It would be appreciated that, if it works for someone when they put it, to notify and say how xD

The "problem" is that you will not be able to develop standalone applications. I believe that they will not be able to hang to the Market, so we will not be able to make "paid" apps.

Thank you very much, patacolas. Let's try it!

This Google proposal is very good to spread the development of simple applications, however I would like to be able to publish a note about a different model:

A tool capable of interacting with services developed by programmers. This tool could be used by any type of user, either experienced or inexperienced in programming.
Through this model we could have even better applications, thousands and thousands of them, with well-programmed services and evaluated by other users.
I imagine these services as: saveFile, sendMail, rotateImage, etc, etc, etc ... thousands and thousands of services ready to be reused and composed to form a larger application.

I hope you can comment on this way of looking at things. In my opinion this is a game at the moment. I don't think that because everyone can create their simple applications, this will explode as a business model, but it can be a very important starting point for something bigger.

How to be so that your ideas are not leaked? I was looking for how to sell a great idea to Apple and other places and since nobody stopped me balls and decided to create my own application, I know that with passion I will be able to learn how to do it, my concern is that they will take your idea that would be ugly

It is good to facilitate programming to promote the Android system, but it is also good that they do not allow them to be posted on the market directly. When releasing the App, many "garbage" programs will appear that will have to be controlled very thoroughly by the google group.

Well, I looked at it to register a few days ago, and I'm still waiting to see if they give me access to the application. I'll say something if they give me access.
