One of the great problems of the app has been its strong commitment to 100% mobile policy. Instagram has been designed to be used with a phone, not a computer. Although things could change for the better very soon.

And it is that Instagram works in a new format that will allow you to view the stories in web browsers. The truth is that most users use the mobile to view the stories, but the idea of being able to see this element in any web browser, without having to use the app, is a detail to take into account.
On the other hand, it seems that some users have already been able to see this new functionality in the web version and have begun to publish images where the current design could be seen in detail. As you can see in the image that heads these lines, the central story is surrounded by black frames so you don't know what's to come.
Regarding navigation, there are no notable changes. In this way, we can pause the stories even if they have videos by clicking the mouse on any of them, in addition to being able to jump through stories or users. Say that this new Instagram design will be arriving in a staggered way, so at the moment it only works for some users.
Now we just need to be patient and wait for this update to be released globally to get the most out of Instagram, since we thought it was a really interesting idea. And surely with this movement more users will bet on the web version of the platform.
