Instagram has just announced a new functionality, well, rather it is an improvement of the functionality that it offered through Instagram Live, a functionality that allows you to transmit videos with two participants. This functionality has just been extended adding a total of 4 and changing its name to Live Rooms.
This functionality, which Instagram has just announced, will begin to be available in the coming weeks for everyone. The launch of this function can be interpreted as a response to Clubhouse, an application that it has been very successful since its launch.
However, the closest thing we can find to this new functionality is found on streaming video platforms such as Twitch, Facebook Gaming or YouTube, since viewers can collaborate financially with the streamer buying badges.
In addition, interactive functions can also be implemented to make sales or for more altruistic purposes to make fundraisers live. From Instagram they are working on moderation tools (similar to what we can find on Twitch, Facebook Gaming and YouTube) as well as new audio functions, functions that will arrive in the coming months.
From Instagram they affirm that with Live Rooms creative possibilities for users are expanded, allowing them to do live interviews, organize information sessions ... or just hang out with friends and share our meetings with our fans.
How Instagram Live Room works
To create a Live Room on Instagram, you must follow the same steps as when the maximum limit was two people. We just have to slide our finger on the screen to the left to access the camera, add a title and tap on the Rooms icon to invite the people we want to participate in the live show.
It is not necessary to add all the guests at the start of the broadcastn, we can add one by one, an ideal function for when we want to reserve a surprise for our audience or we do not want to mix different themes in the same video.
