It seems that Huawei gets on the trolley teasing towards the new Apple phablet. It was the CEO of the company himself, Yu Chengdong, who uploaded a series of images to his Weibo account where I was comparing the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
When we tested the new Asian phablet, the sensations were really good. But you only have to take a look at the images that Chengdong has published to see the great work done by Huawei's design team, sweeping the iPhone 6 in several respects.
Larger screen size and same dimensions
To start the Ascend Mate 7 screen It is 6 inches and that of the iPhone 6 Plus reaches 5.5 inches. With this data, it would be expected that the new Cupertino phablet would be smaller. Nothing is further from reality.
At 157mm high, 81mm long, and 7.9mm wide, the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is almost the same as the iPhone 6 Plus, at 158mm high, 77.7mm long, and 7.1mm wide. This is thanks to the use of the screen bezels, getting that 83% of the front belongs to the screen of the Ascend Mate 7.
Come on that eiPhone 6 Plus is just 1mm shorter and a thinner hair and if we take into account the difference in screen size, the new Apple phablet does not stand up very well. Another noteworthy point has to do with the fingerprint sensor.
As expected, the iPhone 6 Plus also integrates this option, but by placing the sensor on the home key, the lower bezel is thicker than necessary. Instead the guys from Huawei have solved this problem by placing the fingerprint sensor on the upper rear of the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, making scanning more comfortable and avoiding increasing the thickness of the device. It should also be noted that the sensor of the new phablet from the Chinese manufacturer offers the same functions as Apple's, although it is not necessary to slide your finger over the sensor, simply placing your finger on it will detect your fingerprint.
Personally, I consider that Huawei has done an impeccable job with its new phablet that can become a serious rival to Apple. The iPhone 6 Plus has to face the excellent Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. Who do you think will win the battle?
