Seven Huawei models are already receiving EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo

EMUI 8

Huawei recently announced the release of updates for seven models which will usher in EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The models that are benefited in the list are the Huawei Mate 8, Huawei P9, Huawei P9 Plus, Honor 8, Honor V8, Honor Note 8 and Honor Play 6X. This is not the first time that the company has released this update to several of its phones, but the updates have not been widespread and, therefore, these had been left out on past occasions.

Updates are available from 10am (Chinese time) every day from July 9 (Yesterday) to July 15 (Sunday). Interestingly, only 5.000 units of each model will get the daily update for the seven days, so there will be a total of 35.000 updates available for each model.

All those who own one of these terminals and are interested in the updates, will be able to access the update page using the member service application that comes with their phones. After the app is confirmed, the new version can be found in the system update section.

EMUI 8.0 for various Huawei models

Considering the update pattern of the Huawei system, this update that is done through the membership application is basically similar to the update version of OTA in terms of functionality, stability and compatibility, as is polished and comes without bugs or problems of any kind. Therefore, there is no fear of bugs in this version.

Earlier, Huawei had upgraded to 13 older models which include the Huawei P10, P10 Plus, Honor 9, Honor V9, Honor 8 Youth Edition, Honor 7X, Huawei Nova, Nova 2, Nova 2 Plus, Maimang 6, among others. These are in addition to models like the Mate 10 series that launched with Android Oreo and the Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro and Mate 9 Porsche Edition.

    This information IS NOT CORRECT.
I have an Honor 8 and it will not see an update.
Today I have contacted Honor Spain and they have told me that the Honor 8 will not receive EMUI 8 Android 8.0 Oreo.
Only the models will receive update: Honor 8 Pro and Honor 8 Lite ¬¬
That my Honor 8 FRD-L09 model is not going to receive it ò_Ó
