Huawei Mate X

If you thought that Huawei's Mate series would not receive a new member this year, you could be wrong. This is what we aim for because a new smartphone of this family of mobiles has been certified that could arrive shortly, before the end of the year.

The name of this mysterious smartphone, which will be a foldable one, has not been officially revealed, but it is believed to be the Matte X2. TENAA is the platform that has recently approved it and, as it usually does, it has let us reveal some of its key features and technical specifications.

Huawei's Mate X2 foldable is on the way: it could be launched in December

The smartphone with model code "TET-AN00 / TET-AN10", believed to be the Huawei Mate X2, has received the seal of approval from the TENAA certification agency, a few days after going through the 3C agency, another Chinese approval platform. This means that the phone is ready and the official announcement of the phone could be right around the corner.

The full information on the certification process has not yet been released, so we do not know all the features and specifications of this model, unfortunately. However, the leaks that have emerged about it suggest that the new foldable smartphone will keep the screen size at 8 inches.

According to some leaked patent drawings, the change in device design requires that a secondary screen remain outside, and for this there would be a narrow 4.5-inch diagonal panel. On the other hand, the phone will work with the latest Kirin 9000 processor chipset, which is 5nm, and will support 66W fast charging technology, which would work through a USB Type-C port, of course.

Curiously, this batch of certifications contains an unknown model, the "CDL-AN50". This model code corresponds to another 5G phone and TENAA lists some specifications of it: 6.5-inch screen, 3.900 mAh capacity battery with fast charge, and dimensions (162.3 x 75.0 x 8.6 mm). That's quite high for a 6.5-inch phone, and the battery is small for a device of such dimensions.

This latest and mysterious device also passed through the 3C certification agency, which included it with a 40W charger. However, the true nature of the CDL-AN50 remains a mystery.
