Huawei announces the imminent arrival of EMUI 5.0

Very soon the Huawei firm will present its new terminal, the Huawei Mate 9, and along with it will also arrive the new version of its exclusive customization layer for the Android operating system, EMUI 5.0.

The EMUI layer used by Huawei and Honor devices is very similar to the one used by the giant Xiaomi for its devices. Even the name is very similar (MIUI). Its version 5.0 has been created to run especially on Android 7 Nougat and the company has already announced that it is coming very soon.

EMUI 5.0 would arrive together with the Huawei Mate 9

If you are a user of a Huawei or Honor device, soon you will be able to install the new exclusive customization layer EMUI 5.0.

The announcement was made by the Huawei company itself through its Twitter account @HuaweiEMUI with a colorful poster announcing the arrival of the new version "Coming soon."

They have not given more details, except to quote that it will be "Faster" and "prettier", and that this is the "greatest evolution" of EMUI.

At the moment, EMUI 5.0 is a great unknown that keeps many secrets. One of the novelties that are already known is that will adopt Android Stock notifications in such a way that users will be able to enjoy “pure” Android notifications and that panel that is divided between notifications and shortcuts will finally disappear.

Those who have already had the opportunity to test EMUI 5.0 on Android 7 Nougat point out that the system works in an incredibly fast and fluid way, and that makes a very good optimization of the use of the battery.

The Huawei Mate 9 will be presented next Wednesday, November 2. It is a phablet with a 5,9-inch screen, QuadHD resolution, metallic design, 20 and 12 megapixel Leica dual cameras, fingerprint reader, 4 or 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, three storage options (64, 128 or 256 GB) and Android 7 Nougat.
