A few months ago, the constant escalation of tension between the Chinese government and that of the United States claimed a victim: Huawei. Yes, Donald Trump accused the Chinese firm of spying through their mobile devices, causing the blocking of all American hardware or software. In this way, the Chinese manufacturer was left without all kinds of components. Worst? That he couldn't use Google services either.
After many negotiations, the United States government decided to lift the veto on Huawei, but in a relative way. More than anything because, now they can buy back hardware, but the use of software is still restricted. Hence the Huawei Mate 30 Pro do not have Google services installed. And it seems that this is not going to have a solution.
Huawei will no longer bet on Google services
According to what we have learned, from Huawei it has been decided that Google services will not be used again on their mobiles, although the United States ends up lifting the veto and the Chinese company could return to trade with Google and other American companies. The reason is quite clear, and it is that they cannot depend on Google and the US at all times. More when, a veto like this would leave Huawei in the lurch.
For this reason, the objective of the firm is to continue working on the dHarmonyOS development so that it becomes a complete ecosystem of its own with which the lack of Google services is not a problem. Obviously, this operating system has not been created to replace Android, since that is currently an impossible task, but in the future it may advance enough to be an alternative. And the idea of having dual-boot Huawei phones (Android and HarmonyOS) seems really interesting to us.
