On the afternoon of September 26, Huawei officially launched the Mate 30 series in Shanghai, China. At the press conference, Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei's consumer business, said that if the US sanctions that are currently on the Chinese company were not present, lHuawei's mobile phone shipments would exceed 300 million units this year, a figure that far exceeds the 200 million reached in 2018.
At the opening, Chengdong announced the consumer company transcripts from January to August this year: mobile shipments increased by 26%, laptops increased by 249%, smart audio increased by 256%, and wear and tear smart increased by 278%.
Yu Chengdong said that in the case of sanctions, "Our mobile phone business has continued to grow and ranks second in the world". Previously, some semiconductor companies have looked at all suppliers in the Mate 30 series supply chain, and the degree of localization has increased again.
After the meeting, in an interview, the executive confirmed that Huawei's Mate 30 series of China-made devices has gained increasing fame and surpassed US terminals. He also said that he is confident in shipping the Huawei Mate 30 series and set a target of 20 million units.. The previous generation of the Mate 20 series currently has 16 million units shipped, while the P30 series has 17 million units.
Yu Chengdong revealed that if there was no trade war this year, P30 series shipments may have exceeded 20 million units as of today. It remains to be seen the final development of the conflict between China and the United States that includes very strongly poor Huawei.
