Huawei's AppGallery is the third largest app store

The sanctions of the American government against Huawei are not making the company stop being an option in the telephony market, although it is obviously making it quite complicated. Unable to offer Google services, the Play Store is not available. Huawei's alternative is called AppGallery.

According to the Asian company, the AppGallery has become the third most used application store in the world, with more than 400 million monthly active users. If we take into account that the AppGallery has been available in China for several years (Google services are not available) that figure should not be surprising.

The plans of the Asian company Huawei involve investing more than 1.000 million dollars to increase its developer base and thus considerably increase the number of applications that are available today. European developers have no problem offering their apps and games on Huawei's AppGallery, as they are not affected by the veto of the American government.

Quite the opposite happens with the big ones like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, applications that eAt no time will they be available in Huawei's app store while the ban continues.

The AppGallery figures contrast with the number of monthly active users of the Play Store, a figure that dSince 2015, it exceeds 1.000 billion monthly active users. The number of monthly users of Apple's App Store is unknown, but considering that the Cupertino-based company has more than 1.500 billion active devices, it will surely be very close to the numbers of the Play Store.

On March 26, Huawei will officially present the P40, the first flagship that the company will present in 2020. This terminal, like the Mate 30, will also hit the market without Google services, same as the Huawei Mate Xs and the MatePad Pro tablet that was introduced a few days ago.
