HTC won't give up; It still has the strength to continue competing in the smartphone market. It has been predicted that the company would abandon this business, and this idea has gained strength thanks to the losses that the Taiwanese manufacturer has registered in its mobile segment. It is no longer even a shadow of what it was years ago, but it is still standing.
Five models are the ones that will hit the shelves of smartphones soon. The firm apparently plans to revive its ancient series of Wildfire terminals, which did not have many variants. Until recently, only four new phones were expected from this range, but today we have information on a new one, which is the fifth, of course, and has been leaked as Wildfire x.
The fifth phone in the rebooted Wildfire series to come is the HTC Wildfire X, as we have been saying. The specifications of this phone do not match any of the other previously known models, which are the Wildfire, Wildfire E1, E and E Plus.
Like the other phones in the series, the HTC Wildfire X will also target the budget segment. However, the rendering of the device suggests that it will not have a notched display. Inside, the device will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC (MT6762) with 4 GB of RAM. In addition, it will show a 19:9 screen with an HD+ resolution of 1,520 x 720 pixels, although the screen diagonal is not yet known, and will run Android 9 Pie out of the box.
Other details, such as the release date and the possible price for which it would be sold, are yet to be revealed. At the moment, we only have this information as support, which has to be confirmed by the Taiwanese manufacturer, because, if not, we will only be offering it as a leak that could later be refuted with a different report.
