2 weeks ago HTC launched the Bolt in the United States exclusively for Sprint. How curious it is that just yesterday we were mentioning the Taiwanese manufacturer as one that could be acquired suddenly by another company when it is thinking about its sale and thus getting rid of its mobile division.
Today we have another announcement for a new device, the HTC 10 evo. This new phone is identical to the HTC Bolt, although, apart from being the one that will be sold globally, it brings some premium details when compared to the one launched in the United States. The HTC thing is sometimes difficult to understand.
Where are the greatest similarities is in design, since they are practically identical. And while the HTC 10 holds the title of flagship, the larger HTC 10 evo is dangerously close. Its specifications are frankly striking, since we are talking about a phone that has a 5,5-inch screen, the same QHD resolution of the HTC 10 and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
In the part of the camera it goes to 16 megapixels aperture f / 2.0 BSI with OIS and PDAF. The front camera stays at 8 MP. Like the HTC Bolt, which surprised by that Snapdragon 810 chip, which became the worst nightmare for the Taiwanese manufacturer, is still present in the evo, to be accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory.
The greatest qualities of the HTC 10 evo go through its audio and its resistance capacity. HTC boasts of its technology BoomSound Adaptive Audio, which makes the audio system adjust automatically depending on the ambient sound / noise. The Taiwanese manufacturer includes adaptive USB-C headphones. This already removes us from doubts about the lack of audio jack of this phone.
The HTC 10 evo reaches the IP57 certification, much better than the IP53 that the HTC 10 had. The software version that it will have will be Android 7.0 Nougat, includes a fingerprint sensor and a 3.200 mAh battery. Now we only have to know the price and global availability of the phone. Of course, it can only be purchased online.
