Today I want to teach you how to update the LG G2 to Android 5.0 Lollipop unofficially through one of the first Roms based on the experimental work of Cyanogenmod 12. A Rom that, although it is in a very early stage, is fully functional and does not have any type of bug worth mentioning.
The adaptation work of this Android Lollipop rom based on Cyanogenmod 12, has been carried out by the team of EvoMagix, a cook and member of the HTCMANIA Android development forum. From here to thank you for the sensational work and tell you that we will be attentive to the development of this Rom and possible updates.
Before we start with the necessary files and the flashing method, I must inform you that everything that I have been able to test so far works perfectly and without any type of bug that is worth emphasizing. The only serious bug that I can mention so far is the occasional forced closure of the Documents application.
As for the Wifi, Bluetooth and data network connections work perfectly, even giving native support to 4G networks. The concept of the camera has been greatly improved with the inclusion of the original google camera to the detriment of Cyanogenmod's own camera, which is undoubtedly a great success since the camera application takes very high quality photographs.
Required files
- Rom Evomagix Android 5.0 Lollipop based on Cyanogenmod.
- Gapps Google Android 5.0 Lollipop.
- Super SU 2.23.
- Baseband D802, modem to solve the rotation problem.
- TWRP Recovery 2.8.1.1
Once all the files are downloaded, we will copy to the Sdcard of the LG G2 international model D802, let's reboot in Recovery Mode and we are going to proceed to follow the flashing instructions that I explain below to the letter and without skipping any step.
Flash Method of the Rom Android 5.0 Lollipop for the LG G2 International model
Already rebooted in Recovery Mode, it should be the Logically modified recovery, we will follow these installation instructions.
The first thing we are going to do is update Recovery to version 2.8.1.1, for this from the option install We are going to select the ZIP file of the TWRP downloaded previously, Once flashed, which is a matter of seconds, we are going to go to the option reboot and we will select Reboot into Recovery Mode.
Once restarted we will have the new Recovery TWRP from which we will have to follow these steps:
- We go to the option Wipe, then Advanced Wipe and we do a Wipe everything except the internal memory sdcard.
- Now we go to the option install and select the zip from the Rom Android 5.0 Lollipop from EvoMagix and flashed it.
- We return to the option install and select the Baseband K.K. and we flash it.
- We return to the option install and select the Gapp's Lollipop and we flash them.
- Finally we return once more to the option install and select the SuperSU and we flash it.
- Now we can select the option Wipe dalvik and cache and we reboot the system.
The terminal will take approximately one ten minutes to fully reboot, so do not despair and be patient. Once it restarts, you will be able to see all the Material Design aspect of this new version of Android 5.0 Lollipop.
UPDATED: November 20: To anyone who has problem with eg screen rotation or want activate double tap unlock I advise you go through this post where I explain how to repair or get these issues.

In doubt if you can, the lg g2 do not support external sd, you have to copy the files in the internal memory that your device has.

Very good contribution of the ROM, quite fluid and good experience with lollipop. I really appreciate you sharing this information with us. I was testing it for a few days and I noticed a slight increase in battery consumption, some error with the keyboard, the native gallery application and the bluetooth response. Install this rom on my lg g2 d802 and I have checked the following bugs:
- When you are on a call, if you click on the settings (within the menu of the call you are making) it blocks and does not work. You have to close the phone application from the application manager and re-enter
- when they send you a recording to WhatsApp, if you bring your mobile close to your ear to listen to it, it sounds like a robot and even if you take your mobile off your ear and want to hear it through the normal speaker, it continues to sound like a robot. You have to close the application from the task manager and reopen.
- you can not put the mobile on silence. Either it's in sound or vibration
- in the clock application, click on alarms and in the menu to activate an alarm, if you click on "no profile selected" the application closes

The Baseband is only installed if you have the Jelly Bean, if you already have Kit Kat it is no longer necessary, the EvoMagix version has already been released in Final Beta, but the battery, the stock rom and the cloudy g3 did not convince me even better. With the same apps installed, the battery lasted longer, and that I did wipes, and calibration and battery restoration, so I'll wait for the officer, maybe I have more autonomy.
