In the next tutorial I will explain the correct and legal way we have to unlock the Bootloader on our Motorola Moto G. This process, although legal since the code itself will be provided to us by the phone manufacturer itself, involves risks and consequences such as the loss of the official product warranty.
Next I explain step by step the process to follow to achieve unlock the Bootloader of our Motorola Moto G.
The first of all will be enter this link and accept the legal consequences than own Motorola communicates to us in a formal way.
Once accepted the conditions A new window will appear in which we can log in with our Google account or create a new Motorola identity:
Then a window like the one below will be shown where we will have access to the Motorola drivers download as well as his own Android SDK which are two essential requirements to be able to unlocking the Motorola Moto G bootloader.
Once downloaded the drivers and installed the Android SDK, we will restart the personal computer and we will continue with the next step that we will have to carry out through the MSdos command window in Windows or the MAC terminal.
This is the line of code that we will have to put in the command window of MAC o Windows once we are on the path where we download the Android SDK and our Motorola Moto G connected to the personal computer through your USB cable and in Fastboot mode. (To enter Fastboot mode we will start with the Moto G off and turn it on by pressing volume down plus the power button for a few seconds)

Now in the next step we will copy the five lines that you have returned to us depending on whether we are in MAC o Windows, but only the part that I have indicated in bold, not including the parts where it says INFO or (bootloader).
In the case that in the example it would be something like this:

How can you see we have to copy the five lines without spaces and paste them in the box that appears at the bottom of the previous page. See the following image:
Now we will have to click on the button that says Can the device be unlocked? and if our device is unlockable, a new button will appear in which we will have to confirm the unlock request and Motorola itself will send us the Motorola Moto G Bootloader unlock code directly to our email address used to log into Motorola.
Now we will only have to copy the digits that were sent to our email, open again DCM en Windows or the terminal on MAC and execute this command, logically being our M connected in mode Fastboot:
- fastboot oem unlock
We click on Enter and we will only have that paste the code that we receive in our mail, click Enter again and wait for the process to finish. Our Motorola Moto G and we can now enjoy our open Bootloader to be able to Root it and install the Modified Recovery.
First of all thanks for the post and I would like to ask a question and excuse the ignorance, if I have a moto g bought in clear the procedure works the same and it would be possible to change the Kdz or leave it free in some way. Thanks
If you follow the tutorial it will tell you if your bootloader can be unlocked or not. As for changing the KDZ or original firmware, I suppose that once the bootloader is released you will not have any problem since you can even Root and install the modified Recovery for flashing cooked Roms.
As for the release to be able to use it with any operator, that is another story and I recommend that you choose to pay the unlock code for Imei, which is not usually too expensive, about 20 dollars more or less I calculate.
