How to make your cheap headphones sound much better with this app

How to improve the sound quality of headphones

And oddly enough That's right, this app is capable of making your cheap headphones sound much better. The magic lies in the software; as is the case with the Pixel 3 camera app that has shocked the world of mobile phones.

With True-Fi from Sonarworks we talk about an app that behaves like an automated equalizer and that supports more than 287 headsets. In other words, by software and by a system that fine-tunes the sound that comes out of the source, in this case from your smartphone, it is capable of increasing the sound quality by many integers. Go for it.

But how does it make my cheap headphones sound better?

Knowing that the sound that reaches our ears comes from headphones that in turn the sound is already processed, we can understand that with software such as the one provided by Sonarworks True-Fi, you can get to improve the quality of those cheap headphones that we own.

True-fi

And it is not that this company is going to give the real recipe for its magic, but from the looks of it, it has been able to measure the frequency of each of those 287 headphones and thus adapt in such a way that the resulting sound is the flattest and of the highest quality. From his own words his goal has been to reproduce what the original artists recorded in their studio.

This means that the audio levels are reproduced as they were recorded. This automated equalization system also uses the parameters that we provide, such as your age and gender to adjust the treble due to natural hearing loss linked to one's age.

Free for now, but not forever

Best of all, for an app that it will cost $ 79 for life for both desktop and mobile devices, the open public beta allows you to try it out. That is, you can even raise the bass tone so that electronic music sounds like never before.

Add new headphones

It must be said that the True-Fi app is available for both Android and iOS, as well as on the desktop. A app that you have available from the Google Play Store to try it out now and thus get an idea of whether you want to acquire it when it goes to its final version.

The app itself is pretty good. From the beginning ask what let's add the headphones that we will use with the application. We found a great list to select from. In this case the Samsung Earphones Tuned by AKG.

The next thing is to select the age and gender. To finally move on to select local files or the ability to use Spotify Premium. That is, if you do not pay monthly to the music streaming service par excellence, you will not be able to use it with this app; You can always use Spotify for your alarm clock. Anyway, you can always do it with your own local music library.

Supreme quality, yeah

After testing a song like Adele's and wear those headphones For customization, it can be said that it does improve the sound quality. It is noticeable that it is flatter and cleaner, you can even hear those details as if we were in the same studio with Adele recording her well-known song.

Adele

Something that surprises, since there are many music apps and players that claim they improve sound quality. With Sonarworks True-Fi we can say that this is the case and fully recommend that you try it now in its open public beta. If you love listening to music from your mobile or PC, you are sure to love it. Just remember to use headphones that have been registered, since otherwise you will not notice it.

So with True-Fi yes you can improve the sound quality of those cheap headphones that thanks to them you can listen to all your songs daily. And by the way, it also improves that of some good ones like the ones we have used in this post.

I've been testing (Beats Solo3), there's something wrong with the app. The sound enhancement can only be used within the application, it does not work as an always active equalizer for any audio, there is a SUBSTANTIAL difference in volume between the sound of the smartphone itself and the sound emitted by the app without having the enhancement setting activated.
When you make the change to active you hear a very perceptible improvement and it sounds quite good, BUT, it is more an increase in volume than anything else (remember that this change is only allowed within the app). If you compare normal smartphone audio (using Spotify), versus improvement activated within the app, in my opinion there is no difference that makes me think that it is really worth it, especially for the money it will cost. If you are looking to improve certain aspects such as bass or some sound ranges, you are better looking for a free equalization app with which you can adapt each decibel to your liking. My humble opinion based on what I experienced.

I didn't have a chance to try Spotify Premium, but some local themes do improve. For a person who takes sound quality very seriously, it is sure to be an app out of ten. It also depends a lot on your headphones and their support.
And well, the ideal would be for it to sound like this on the entire mobile, but in the end it is an app and they need to do it this way. Another thing is that someone like OnePlus, Xiaomi and other companies hire them and put them as a base on their mobiles. It would be a triumph!
