In the next tutorial I will show you how to install the new function of Smart call that is included in the new flagship of Sony and that we were able to see live at the last MWC14 held in Barcelona at the end of last month.

What is Smart Call?
Smart call is a new function implemented in the new X de Sony which allows us to answer a call just by bringing the receiver of our Android terminal to our ear.
A functionality that we can install in our Xperia Z1 and Z1 Compact following the steps in the next tutorial.
How do I install Smart Call on my Xperia Z1 and Z1 compact?
The first thing you need to be able to install this new exclusive feature of the X, is to have a Rooted terminal and with the modified Recovery flashed, and it is that the installation and flashing of this new function will be done through the aforementioned Recovery.
If you meet the requirements you can download the Flashable zip and apk necessary from the following links and copy them to the internal memory of the terminal to be flashed to follow these instructions to the letter:
- SmartCall ZIP
- shortout.apk
Installation method
We reboot in recovery-mode and we follow these instructions to the letter: (It is convenient, in case the flies first make a nandroid backup of our entire current system).
- Wipe cache partition
- wipe dalvik cache
- Install zip from sdcard
- choose zip
- We select the downloaded zip and confirm its installation.
- Wipe cache partition
- wipe dalvik cache
- Reboot system now.
Once the terminal restarts, we install the APK in the usual way and go to the application gestures and we enable the option Smart call.
