How to add RSS feeds to Google Podcast

Google Podcast

Google entered the world of podcasts in 2018, with an application that left a lot to be desired compared to the applications that we could already find on the market. Fortunately, over the years, Google has greatly improved the number of functions it offers and today it has little to send to other applications.

With the next update that Google is about to launch, the application will receive a new function that will allow us to add podcast RSS feeds. In this way, we can listen to favorite podcasts that are not found on the Google platform directly in the application.

This functionality, which will reach both the application and the web version (it should be remembered that the Android application is nothing more than a web app) so if you use the version for computers, you will also be able to enjoy this function in a few days . To add RSS feeds to the podcast application, we just have to follow the steps that I detail below.

  • The first thing we must do once we have opened the application is to go to the Activity tab and click on the three vertical buttons that we find in the upper right corner.
  • Of the different options that it offers us, we must select Add RSS feed (Add by RSS feed).
  • Finally, we have to enter the address where the podcast is stored, so that from now on, all the new episodes that are added are automatically downloaded, without having to do absolutely anything on our part.

After adding this new function, you have very little to send to the oldest podcast applications such as Pocket Cast, one of the oldest and most complete that we can currently find on the market and that we can also download for free.
