Google Podcast renews its playback interface

Google podcasts

Podcasts have been with us for many years, the Cupertino-based company being the company that strongly bet on them, although in recent years, has forgotten about them, despite the monetization needs of content creators and promises by Apple in this regard.

This abandonment, has come of pearls for him birth of other podcast services offering monetization to creators, as is the case with Ivoox. Google has never paid much attention to this community and it took longer than expected to launch its own application: Google Podcast, an application that has just renewed part of its design.

Search giant's podcast app Google Podcast just got a new update, an update that focuses on modify the playback interface. Until now, when you accessed the podcast playback, the podcast image was shown as a thumbnail next to its title.

After this update, the podcast image is displayed large at the top, followed by the podcast title and the same playback controls that were shown with the previous interface.

If we take into account that the Google podcast player is nothing more than a website in the form of a Google application, this new design arrives from the server and not through the application itself, so it may take longer than expected to be available on your device.

In my case, I have a Google Pixel and at the time of publishing this article it has not yet been updated to the new design, so I will have to wait a few hours to enjoy this new interface, much more visual than we can find in the previous version.
