Google Podcast reaches 50 million downloads on the Play Store

Google Podcast

In the past two years, we've seen the guys at Spotify give podcasts the push that podcasts lacked to become a mass phenomenon buying several exclusive podcast production companies which has allowed it to become the market leader, surpassing Apple.

It wasn't until last year that Google launched an app Assessment to play Podcast, an application that today nor has nothing to envy to other platforms, many of them paid, so the free Google Podcast is a point very in its favor. This application has just reached 50 million downloads on the Play Store.

Google released the first version of the Google Podcast application in 2018, an application that left much to be desired and it hardly offered any functions. It was not until 2019 when Google gave a real review to the application so that it became an interesting option to consider.

Also, the number of podcasts available on your platform has increased dramatically in the last two yearsTherefore, the number of podcasts that we can find in Spanish is very wide and covers practically any subject.

Thanks to the latest functions that both the application and the platform have obtained (automatic download, web version, new user interface, share podcast sections, news section ...) to date this application has nothing to envy Pocket Cast, one of the oldest available on both Android and iOS.

This application is not included, at the moment, natively in all terminals that reach the market, so the number of downloads that has been achieved through users interested in podcasts.
