Google Photos will allow us to remove the audio from the videos

Google Photos has become an application that everyone should have installed on their device, as long as they want to have a backup copy of all the videos and photos they take with their smartphone or tablet at hand, completely free of charge and with no space limit.

The only but about Google Photos is that does not keep the original file itself, but instead conducts a conversation while maintaining the quality of the videos and photos, a conversion that is hardly noticeable, so we do not need to keep the images independently on a hard drive or other paid storage service.

Despite being one of the most used applications in the Android ecosystem, like Gmail, the guys at Google are not confident with its dominant position and are continually adding new functions. The next function, which will probably it will have some use that I have not found yet, has been discovered by security researcher Jane Manchum, a researcher who analyzes applications to find both security flaws and new features that are not yet available.

The latest application that has passed through your hands is Google Photos. As Jane has discovered, this app will allow user to remove sound from videos easily. This would not be the first video editing tool that Google Photos offers us, since it currently allows us to rotate videos, crop them and even export individual frames.

The only utility that I find for the possibility of eliminating the audio from the videos is to prevent the sound of these from being able to distract attention from the reason for it, a function that we can do with other video editing applications but practically none of them allow us to do it with a single touch, as according to Jane we will be able to do it in future updates of Google Photos.
