Google Pay already offers support for boarding passes and event tickets

Google Pay

Technology has evolved a lot in recent years, an evolution that allows us transport information from one site to another digitally inside our smartphone, thus avoiding the risk of losing certain documentation. A few months ago, Google announced that its payment platform would allow adding both boarding passes and tickets to events.

That moment has come. Thanks to this new function available in the Google payment platform, we do not need to physically carry our ticket in physical format or our boarding pass, but we just have to carry our smartphone with us at all times. In case of losing it, as the information is stored in our account, we can access it from any other terminal quickly.

Now that we are on vacation, it is the ideal time to start use the advantages that this technology offers us, at least so, not having to be aware at all times of the documentation related to our trip or movie tickets, concerts or any other event that we plan to enjoy soon.

Now the only thing missing is that the airlines start adopting this technology soon, something that should not take long to arrive since cards in digital format have been available for a few years on Apple's mobile platform, iOS, through the Wallet application, an application where we must enter credit cards to be able to do use Apple Pay and pay for our purchases with the iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

Regarding event tickets, the ticket giant, Ticketmaster announced that they would offer support for this technology from the beginning, so if this function is already available, within a few days it should allow us to store the tickets of the next events that we plan to go directly to our terminal with Google Pay.
