In the last two months, we have seen how the use of applications to make video calls has become very popular, with Zoom being one of the main winners, but not the only one. Microsoft Teams and Google Meet have also experienced quite high growth, growth that in the case of the latter, has allowed exceed 50 million downloads on Android.
Both Zoom and Skype and Microsoft Teams allow us blur the background of video calls so that our interlocutors are not distracted by the background of the room where we are. But in addition, they also allow us replace background by any default image available in the application or by any other that we want.
Google Meet for now does not offer us either of those two functions, but it is already working on the function that will allow blurring the background of video calls, a function that is shown in the code of the latest beta of this Android application that the 9to5Google guys have found.
Everything seems to indicate that the version of Google Meet for Android will be the first to receive this new functionality, a new functionality that it shouldn't take long to reach the rest of the apps from the search giant.

For a week, Google has allowed everyone to use its Google Meet business video calling service for free. The best of all is that we have at our disposal the same functions as when this service was paid, so there is no separation between the business version and the home user version.
One of the advantages over its competition is that this Google video call service allows us to make video conferencing with up to 100 people, a function that Zoom also offers us but only in paid plans.
