Gigaset is a German brand that usually makes little presence in the saturated smartphone industry, but now we have it here and we give it its main role in this new opportunity since it has just launched the Gigaset GX290, a medium-performance terminal that stands out mainly for the great autonomy it offers due to the fact that it carries an enormous capacity battery.
The design of this mobile is something that also stands out among the other features of it. Thanks to this and all the qualities it presents, it will compete directly with firms such as Energizer and Blackview in the same segment.
Gigaset GX290 Features and Specifications
This new device comes with a 6.1-inch diagonal screen with HD + resolution of 1,560 x 720 pixels, a notch in the shape of a drop of water and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 glass that makes it resistant to shocks, scratches and other abuse.
The Gigaset GX290 also boasts all the power that the Helio P23 chipset from Mediatek It can provide and equip an internal memory of 32 GB with support for expansion via microSD. However, the cipher memory of the RAM was not disclosed, so it is something that we will be learning later.
Android Pie in its pure state runs on the terminal, while the IP68 certificate offers water resistance. At the same time, Packs a 6,200 mAh battery with fast-charging support that puts you back on track from 0% to 100% in just three hours. It also makes use of wireless charging technology, so it will not be necessary to connect it to a socket to hold the charge.
Connectivity options include dual-band 802.11 a / b / g / n Wi-Fi (2.4 / 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, a USB-C 2.0 port supporting OTG, A-GPS, and NFC. Facial recognition and a fingerprint reader are not absent from the phone, as well as a double rear camera of 13 and 2 MP and a front shooter of 8 MP.
Price and Availability
The fixed price of this smartphone is 299 euros excluding VAT.. Its price, with this last factor added, would amount to about 360 euros approx. It remains to be seen which markets it will reach, but Spain can already ask for it.
