As the Korean company Samsung has accustomed to the users of its high-end mobile devices, the Korean chaebol has just launched the security update for the Galaxy S9 and S9 + for the month of February, thus being the first high-end terminal of the company that receives it as an official update, and not as part of a beta.
The security update adds a new function for night mode and that has not been included in stable versions of Android Pie so far. Thanks to this update, we can set a schedule for the night mode to go into operation. In addition, Wi-Fi stability has been improved, especially when connecting to 5 GHz networks.
In addition to Wi-Fi, this update also improves the stability of the NFC chip, of email and on-screen gestures to navigate, one of the improvements in functions that Samsung has begun to implement and that will soon come through an update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, where it also needs a certain degree of improvement
The security update for the Galaxy S9 and S9 +, whose version numbers are G960FXXU2CSB3 and G965FXXU2CSB3 respectively, are now available in Germany, so we will not have to wait days, but only hours for it to arrive in our country, at least for residents of Spain.
As usual, if you don't want to wait for it to arrive in your country, you can go to the SamMobile guys' website and download the security update corresponding to the month of February through this link and install it later on your device, as long as it is the model managed by Samsung's Exynos processor.
Remember to make a backup of your terminal before installing any type of update, even if it is security, since we never know when our terminal may stop working for no apparent reason and force us to restore the factory, thus losing all the content that we have stored.
