Whenever the launch date of a flagship approaches, rumors multiply and sometimes even contradict each other. This is also the case for the next Samsung Galaxy S8 that the South Korean company will present in February on the occasion of the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona.
We have already heard different rumors about the specifications of the Galaxy S8, as I said, some contradictory, however what is clear is that Samsung plays a lot (after the disaster of Note 7), and that we will not know anything for sure until the device is presented therefore, we take this information with due caution.
The rumor that circulates today and that we have been able to know through SamMobile comes directly from China and notes that The Galaxy S8 will feature 6GB of RAM and will be offered in storage options up to 256GB.
The current Galaxy S7 has 32 GB of internal storage and brought back the microSD card slot that allows its expansion so, if this information turns out to be true, it would imply a change in strategy on the part of the company. This new strategy would imply that the Samsung Galaxy S8 would match Apple's iPhone 7 in terms of storage, as the iPhone 7 can also be achieved with up to 256 GB of internal storage.
In terms of RAM, it had already been rumored that the Galaxy S8 could arrive with 8GB of RAM; Now that amount is reduced to 6GB of RAM, an equally surprising level. But beware, because having 8GB does not necessarily imply better performance than having 6GB, there are many variables that influence the performance of a device and the truth is that the jump to 6GB looks more logical and the previous rumors of 8GB of RAM for the Galaxy S8 appears to be excessive, but not rulable.
