The first smartphone with a fingerprint reader integrated into the screen could be from Vivo

Fingerprint reader - Live

Although the rumors that have circulated in recent months indicate that the first fingerprint sensor integrated in the screen could come from Samsung, the reality looks a little different.

Apparently, several device manufacturers are working around the clock in the development of fingerprint readers to be integrated into the screen, so currently it is not very easy to guess which will be the first manufacturer to launch a smartphone with this functionality.

Over a long period of time, most have thought that Samsung would be the first to launch a smartphone with a fingerprint reader integrated into the screenBut the reality is that many rumors now point to the Chinese manufacturer Vivo, closely followed by Apple.

Jiutang Pan, quoted by the boys from Android Authority, is a Chinese distribution chain analyst who recently stated that Vivo could release a smartphone with this functionality in the coming months. Pan has even shared a video where he introduces this feature in action:

Similarly, Apple has every chance of becoming the first manufacturer to offer this feature outside of China, specifically through the upcoming iPhone 8, whose arrival is expected this fall.

Other information from Korea talks about two other smartphone manufacturers that prepare fingerprint sensors built into the screen: Huawei and Xiaomi. Apparently Huawei will add this feature in the P11, a smartphone scheduled to arrive in the first part of next year.

However, what about Samsung? Apparently, the company has failed in its attempt to add a Synaptics-branded fingerprint reader to the AMOLED screen of the Galaxy S8. According to the latest rumors, this project would have required more time, which is why the S8 sensor is a classic type, located on the back of the terminal.
